Our Approach
We use a holistic approach to brain training and provide compassionate support for adults, children and families. Our services are aimed at building resilience and supporting long term healing.
Neurofeedback Brain Training is an innovative approach that helps your brain retrain itself to support healthier brainwave activity. In mental health conditions, brainwave patterns can get stuck in unhealthy patterns associated with brain fog, depression, fear, anxiety, compulsions, addiction and fatigue. With Neurofeedback you can recalibrate your brain, giving you the best chance at true healing.
Trauma Can Change Your Brain
Talk therapy alone does not address the deeper parts of the brain that experience and store memories of trauma. Neurofeedback can re-calibrate the brain through brainwave training that encourages healthier brain function, helping the brain become more balanced, flexible & resilient.
Signs of An Unbalanced Brain

Relax, Re-balance & Re-set Your Brain
With Trauma and PTSD the brain can get stuck in unhealthy patterns. Neurofeedback Brain Training is about calming the nervous system and bringing the brain and body into balance in an efficient manner. Brain Training is a non-invasive process that allows your brain to recalibrate itself as the fight or flight response is tapped into. Using a dynamical neurofeedback system to monitor your brain activity, your brain is provided with accurate and precise information, and it is able to re-calibrate itself by seeing its own reflection. The result is that your brain can re-set itself to its natural balance. Like any other type of training, the benefits are cumulative and maximum results are seen with accumulated sessions of 20 +

How Does It Work?
Get Hooked Up
After reviewing your health care inventory with a nurse, she will help you settle into a reclining chair and will place sensors on your scalp & ears to obtain real-time measurements of your brainwave activity.
Sit Back & Relax
You don't need to do anything. Unlike talk therapy, you do not have to actively engage in your feelings & thoughts. You will hear brief interruptions in the music that signal your brain to recalibrate itself
Change Your Brain
While you relax, your brainwave activity moves into healthier patterns. With repeated sessions, your brain consolidates the changes for long-term improvements.

Frequently Asked Questions?
How Long Will the Results Last?
With Neurofeedback Brain Training, the brain is learning a new skill. It is like riding a bike, you never forget how. Once you have done 10-20 sessions, your brain integrates the learning. You can stop the training anytime you want to and pick it up again later. Any future physical trauma to the brain will cause dysregulation
Can I See Other Mental Health Practitioners While I do Neurofeedback?
Yes. Neurofeedback is safe to use in conjunction with talk therapy, EMDR and other complimentary therapies. We welcome the opportunity to support clients who are working with other mental health therapists, naturopaths, chiropractors, doctors or another complimentary therapist. Neurofeedback can facilitate talk therapy and other modalities, and they can also facilitate the brain training. EMDR sessions can be done in conjunction with neurofeedback and can be discussed with your nurse.
Is the Cost Covered?
Our services are administered by Registered Nurses and do not qualify for psychological coverage on extended health plans. Coverage for Neurofeedback services may vary based on your insurance provider. Some plans cover our services under a health care expenditure account. The fees for our services are modestly priced and clients often find that our fees are comparable to pro-rated coverage with health care plans.
